Visit Winston-Salem has secured the 2017 Annual Convention of Association Executives of North Carolina (AENC), July 23-24, and is estimated to bring 200 association executives into the destination.

"Hosting this prestigious group is perfect timing as the renovations will be complete at the Benton Convention Center," said Richard Geiger, Visit Winston-Salem president. "We look forward to having these key decision makers experience our community and consider Winston-Salem for their next meeting."

The AENC annual meeting will take place at the Twin City Quarter - a complex in downtown Winston-Salem with 461 guest rooms and 170,000 square feet of meeting space between the Marriott Hotel, Embassy Suites and Benton Convention Center.

"Winston-Salem has proven to be one of AENC's top meeting destinations, attracting strong attendee and exhibitor participation," said W. Alan Skipper, CAE, CMP, president of the Association Executives of North Carolina. "We attribute this to the area's rich cultural history, its central location, its commitment to the arts and education, along with its warm, welcoming hospitality partners," added Skipper.
