Visit Winston-Salem announced Alexandra "Alex" Collins, CHSE, as the new national sales manager responsible for booking convention business in the national, regional association and corporate market segments.

Collins has more than a decade in the hospitality industry, most recently as group association sales manager at Twin City Quarter - a complex in downtown Winston-Salem with 461 guest rooms and 170,000 square feet of meeting space between the Marriott Hotel, Embassy Suites and Benton Convention Center. Prior to Twin City Quarter, Collins was at the Marriott Frenchman's Reef & Morning Star Beach Resort in the U.S. Virgin Islands. She graduated from UNC at Chapel Hill and received her Master's Certificate in Hospitality Management from Cornell University.

With more than 1,000 hotel rooms within walking distance to the Benton Convention Center - which is currently undergoing an $18 million renovation - historic facilities and innovative venues, Winston-Salem offers a variety of facilities to accommodate small groups as well as citywide events.
