Visit Winston-Salem Names New Sports and Event Sales Manager

Visit Winston-Salem and the Forsyth County Tourism Development Authority are pleased to announce that Bonny Bernat has joined the staff as the sports and event sales manager.  Bonny will manage Visit Winston-Salem sports marketing effort for Winston-Salem/ Forsyth County, North Carolina.   With over a decade of experience in the travel industry Bonny was most recently with The Charlotte Destination Group and prior to that with the Greater Springfield Convention and Visitor Bureau, in Springfield Massachusetts. 

“Bonny’s experience in travel and tourism with an interest in sports and event management makes a perfect fit for the organization”, notes Stephan Dragisic, director of marketing and communications for Visit Winston-Salem.  “She is very focused on ensuring event planners have all the tools they need to create successful events in our community.”

With major venues such as Tanglewood Park, the Winston-Salem Entertainment Sports Complex and Bowman Gray Stadium, Winston-Salem /Forsyth County has a long history of hosting successful sporting events such as Davis Cup and the NCAA Field Hockey Final Four.  Home to Wake Forest University and Winston-Salem State University, the community offers major venues for the events rights holders.
